This means, indirectly, customers who do hire the company end up covering the costs for those who don't.

Essentially, "free" estimates aren't truly free; they're subsidized by paying customers, leading to higher overall prices.

Our Approach: Providing Value and Clarity

To ensure fairness and maintain competitive pricing, Horizon Decks offers two distinct options for our proposal process:

- On-Site Proposal Service ($150 Fee): This option includes a personal visit from a Horizon Decks professional to your home. We'll take precise measurements, discuss design ideas and details, and then prepare a comprehensive, fixed-price proposal. This proposal will include a scaled layout to give you a clear vision of the project outcome. The $150 fee reflects the direct costs of this personalized service, ensuring that you only pay for the services you receive, without subsidizing others. Heck, you can use our scaled drawing and specifications to gather other prices from other builder, something we recommend strongly. You should get 2-4 prices to compare and hire the company you feel will give you the best service and value.

- Preliminary Estimates via Email (No Cost): Understanding the need for flexibility, we also offer a no-cost option for preliminary estimates. Simply email us pictures and rough measurements of your project area, along with your "wants & needs", and we will provide you with an initial estimate or proposal. This allows you to get a sense of the potential cost and scope of your project without any upfront financial commitment.
